Kolín Town hall consists of two differently old houses. The older house, originally called Kolerovský house, has been used as a town hall since 1494. The younger building (situated one floor lower) was used as an inn and later as the barracks. Today´s image of the town hall was created by pseudo-renaissance reconstruction from the end of 19th century led by architect Jan Vejrych. On the front facade of the older building we can see frescos with the scenes from the town history; the frescos were made by academic painter Adolf Liebscher.
